It was a privilege to bring our heritage to life alongside such a passionate community and to help showcase the beauty of Polynesian culture right here in Frisco. What an incredible day we had! Thank you to all of our vendors, performers, Kaleidoscope Park, and the City of Frisco. The park was transformed into a vibrant tropical escape on Saturday, June 7. Here’s a quick look back at the festivities:
- Opening Remarks: We kicked off with warm welcome messages from Shawn Jackson, Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Park, and
Jr Moeakiola, CEO of Pineapple Construction, celebrating our commitment to diversity and community.
- Live Performances: Guests were captivated by four dynamic dance showcases—Toloa Polynesian Dance, No te Moana, Sounds of Polynesia, and Koloa of Polynesia. Each group brought authentic rhythm and heritage to the stage.
- Family Fun: Luau‑style games (hula‑hoop contests included!), arts & craft stations, and interactive activities delighted guests of all ages—making memories under the Texas sun.
Island Market & Food: From musubi to mochi donuts, our vendors delivered delicious tropical flavors. Crafts from Fruitful Designs Glam‑Braid Bar and Polynesian Plus Design kept everyone busy with hands‑on activities and beautiful keepsakes.
“This festival is a beautiful opportunity to bring Polynesian culture to Kaleidoscope Park and share it with the wider North Texas region,” said Shawn Jackson.
“As a Polynesian‑owned company, it was important for us at Pineapple Construction to help create an unforgettable day,” added Jr Moeakiola from Pineapple Construction.
Thank you to our fantastic lineup of vendors, the hard‑working Kaleidoscope Park staff, and the City of Frisco for their support in making this event possible. We look forward to celebrating with you again next year!
